During a performance in Sydney, Jo Jo of Jodeci passed out while singing “All My Life.” Although the internet has been speculating that the singer’s falling out was drug relating, Jo Jo’s brother K-Ci refutes those claims. K-Ci went on to say that Jo Jo had a epileptic seizure the day before, and hadn’t been feeling well. Regardless of the reason, it is still funny to watch K-Ci keep singing while his brother is laid out. Also, notice the bodyguard making sure the microphone was ok before Jo Jo. WOW!!!! LOL!!!!!

Due to the success of his Forgivable fragrance, Diddy is set to launch a new line of cologne called “I Am King.” The new cologne is set for a December launch and will be supported by the above I Am King print ad campaign that will be featured in urban and lifestyle magazine along with an accompanying outdoor campaign. The print and TV campaign kicks off in September and will portray Combs as his typical mogul self which includes flying to exotic locations like Monaco and Saint-Tropez with models Bar Refaeli and Ana Paula, riding jet skis around the French Riviera, lounging aboard his yacht and gambling inside the Casino de Paris in Monte Carlo.
Diddy recently told Women’s Wear Daily “I Am King is a statement about all men. We are all descendants of royalty – and if we carry ourselves and respect ourselves in that manner and believe in ourselves, then we are all kings.”
Diddy also has released a Sean John line of tees that support the similar I Am King theme. These tees are currently available at online stores such as Dr. Jays. The I Am King cologne will have a similar distribution model to Forgivable and will be featured nation-wide exclusively at Macy’s department stores. Forgivable has racked in over $100 million globally from its current Macy’s deal. Diddy will follow up with a woman’s perfume called I Am Queen in 2009 and will also be supported with a full ad campaign and Sean John clothing.

(CNN) — Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film “Shaft,” has died, sheriff’s officials in Memphis, Tennessee, reported Sunday.
Relatives found Hayes, 65, unconscious in his home next to a still-running treadmill, said Steve Shular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics attempted to revive him and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m., the sheriff’s department said.
No foul play is suspected, the agency said in a written statement.
Hayes was a longtime songwriter and arranger for Stax Records in Memphis, playing in the studio’s backup band and crafting tunes for artists such as Otis Redding and Sam and Dave in the 1960s.

Offdaglass is sad to report that comedian Bernie Mac died at Northwestern Memorial hospital early Saturday morning, according to Chicago Sun-Times Columnist, Stella Foster. He was 50.
Though the cause of death has not been confirmed, Mac had been hospitalized recently for pneumonia. Foster said that she received calls early Saturday morning from a close friend of the Mac family, confirming the reports of Mac’s death.
The columnist also said she was deeply saddened to receive such a phone call just an hour after Mac was pronounced dead.
“It brought tears to my eyes because Bernie Mac has always been my all-time favorite entertainer and comedian. It pains me to have to report that,” Foster said during a phone interview on Saturday morning.

Somewhere, Luke and The Two Live Crew are having a big laugh off of this. American TV network bosses have decided to ban an advertisement featuring EVA MENDEZ for being TOO sexy. In the steamy commercial for Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession perfume, the gorgeous actress writhes topless on a bed. Eva admitted she was “thrilled” that the ad was considered too saucy for US broadcast. Eva, 33, said: “I love it. That means the ads are totally Calvin, totally provocative and a little controversial.” She continued: “In the commercial you’ll see me rolling around in bed a lot, that’s basically all I do. I have been a fan of Calvin Klein’s Obsession ads since I can remember.” Nowwe here at Offdaglass think that the commercial is just that….Off Da Glass!!!! But, hey, that’s just our opinion. R&B singer Joe has accused R. Kelly of trying to derail his career by pressuring radio DJs not to play his records. The singer released six albums with Jive Records over an 11 year period, but left the label earlier this year after the company pushed back the release of his 2007 LP, Ain’t Nothin Like Me, several times.
The Grammy winner believes fellow Jive artist R. Kelly was to blame, claiming the singer would call Jive bosses and radio stations and urge them not to promote the singer too heavily, according to reports.
“R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio,” Joe said.
“He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, ‘Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Y’all (sic) need to pull that back.’ And they would oblige. It’s incredible that now I get the opportunity to, I don’t know, maybe pay (R. Kelly) back in some sort of side bar kind of thing.”
And Joe, who left Jive to release his forthcoming LP New Man through Kedar Entertainment Group, insists that despite R. Kelly’s alleged intervention, he’s still got plenty of stake in the industry.
He says, “I’m still very relevant in the game. But yeah, he did try to make some decisions when it came down to my records being on fire, and climbing up the charts and on the radio stations.”
R&B star Usher has re-hired his mother as his manager after his latest album failed to live up to expectations, according to reports. The singer ended his 15-year professional relationship with Jonnetta Patton and her JPat Record Label just days before Mother’s Day this year.
The 29-year-old superstar replaced Patton with managing mogul Benny Medina - who’s been responsible for the careers of heavyweights such as Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. But Usher is allegedly blaming Medina for disappointing sales of his new album Here I Stand.
The CD debuted at number one on the Billboard charts in May, but sold just 433,000 copies in its first week - compared to his 2004 album Confessions, which moved a whopping 1.1 million units in it’s debut week.
Now the star has officially announced that his mother will be resuming her role in charge of his career. A statement from the pair reads: “Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonnetta Patton as his manager.”
But Usher’s former manager Medina insists the decision was made on good terms. “I had a great time and we parted ways amicably,” he told People.com.
(DETROIT) — A federal judge ordered Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to jail Thursday for violating the terms of his bond in his perjury case, a decision the judge said he would have made for any “John Six-Pack” defendant before him. The mayor made an unauthorized trip to Canada last month, leading the county prosecutor’s office to request Kilpatrick be punished and triggering the judge’s ruling.

The Second Annual Rick Ross Be Out Day was interrupted by gunfire(August 6). The annual event took place in Carol City Park and offered the local community a day of food, and fun sponsored by Rick Ross himself.
